Back at Villa Park

My brother being my brother instantly recognised a voice as we approached Villa Park, “It’s Chris Woakes”. Off we ran to find the Warwickshire and England cricketer (and Villan) to listen to his interview, what great timing.
Often the first home game of the season is a nice sunny day where we can pleasingly get away without coats and the sprinklers make pretty rainbows all over the pitch. Today was uncomfortably hot in the Holte End. With previous experience of my passing out in public places, Alex kindly ran down to the kiosk every time the players had a drinks break to get more bottles of water for us both! With 3 points in the bag I happily arrived home for a cold shower, an ice lol and to sit in front of a different kind of fan for the rest of the day!
