Too late for this year or too early for the next?

A tiny artichoke has appeared on our plants at the allotment! Weird! Usually they appear a lot earlier in spring! 
We’re watering a friend’s allotment as well these days! Lots to do!
Easy day today: watched a film on tv and generally chilled! :-)
