Where’s the grass gone?

I had a walk on Southampton Common this afternoon. Although it was late afternoon when I thought it might be a bit cooler, it wasn’t! I did a bit too much and was very glad to get home again. It’s hard walking in this heat. I took a few photos of what used to be green grass, it’s now an expanse of brown. The only greenery is from the trees.
