Defying the drought

Earlier in the year I applied weedkiller to the patio, mechanically removed any remaining weeds and pressure washed the whole area.  Now weeds are growing up again, even though the rest of the garden is wilting or dying in the heat and drought. 

We should get some rain in the coming week.
