By The Cottonwoods

Tricky light in the early evening, the sun is so strong and the shadows deep. One direction, the sun is in the lens, the other blue sky. I chose the former, but kept the sun just out of frame, to give a hazy effect. The coneflowers look a bit washed out in this light, but the yellows of the susans are vibrant. I used the Velvia camera profile to compensate a little. To the left stand a pair of cottonwood trees, one of which I used to frame the left edge.
