Adder

My first wild snake!
We had a guided wildlife tour of the island, today. The main objectives were birds, and we enjoyed views of various raptors, including sea and golden eagles and a fleeting glimpse of a mail hen harrier. Red and fallow deer, and otters, were seen. Although I got some decent images of these, I have chosen to record the thrilling encounter with this adder, (the first snake I have seen in the wild).
