My Mum

This morning my mum got up at 6am and made scones for friends of mine that were popping by. She then heated the coffee plungers and got the coffee ready at 9am ish.

Dad and I tried the toaster with limited success at 7.30am and the kettle with trepidation...but it was all ok in the end.

My friends turned up at 10.30 and had lovely warm scones and butter, fresh coffee and napkins - all is very well with the world.

I love my mum. She can't do coffee any other way - tablecloth, cups and saucers, napkins and good food.

I love that she instilled that in me! I'm a bit more relaxed - no tablecloth!
