Common Plume Moth

After last week's appearance of a Beautiful Plume Moth (Amblyptilia acanthadactyla) inside our house, this afternoon a Common Plume Moth (Emmelina monodactyla) came to rest briefly on some Hazel in our back garden.

As the moth often rests with its wings rolled up tightly, we were fortunate today to at least see the plumes on one of its wings.
