Harvest

We didn't get the forecast storm last night but we woke up with it raining which is unusually welcome in the UK. It did stop late morning and brighten up with temperature about 25C, a pleasant drop from yesterdays 35C! The blipfoto is a field just up from our house that has yet to get in the harvested summer bales. I liked it as a typical english country scene.

We visited some old friends in Newport and had a good catch up for a few hours before heading to collect granddaughter Amelia from pre-school.  After a visit to a park on the way home she fell asleep just as we pulled up home despite Mrs BB trying to keep her awake. I carried her in and she's fast asleep on the sofa; we've decided to let her sleep as she'll probably go until the morning. We'll have an early night in case she wakes up early!
