"What, read instructions, Me? Ha!
It's a bit of a long story so, to be brief;
Three weeks ago we bought a garden seating set, with small table, from B&Q (a LARGE do it yourself chain in the UK).
We soon realised that the top of the table didn't seem right because it always looked odd, even after cleaning. The reason it wasn't right was because it had been installed, at the Chinese factory, upside down! It is supposed to be a glass topped table with a grey board underneath.
We managed to get all of the plastic holding bits out, not without a huge struggle, but still couldn't get the glass out to turn it over.
Despite having mangled one end of the table, in our efforts to correct the factory mistake, I took the table, and all relevant bits, bolts etc. to the store to explain and ask what they could do.
To my amazement they were so helpful, but couldn't replace it as they didn't have any in stock. Offered a refund if I brought the seats back. Then she, the lady on the 'Click and Collect' had another thought and called the Cheltenham branch.
Outcome was that I took it all over the Cheltenham, it's only about 6 miles away, and they replaced the whole lot with a brand new set.
All of this was accompanied with a great deal of help, I told them I couldn't lift due to an operation 2 weeks ago, friendliness and co-operation between stores and departments.
I was very impressed with B&Q.
All we've got to do now is put it together!
Oh, and it all came in a huge box. I asked if they could keep the box and they unpacked it all, at the car, and took the empty box away. What great service.
