Rain!

I can't remember when it last rained.  Thunderstorms were forecast for today, which was worrying.  A thunderstorm on hard dry ground would all run off.  Then it would be "get your wellies time" as the garden flooded.  

Thankfully we had gentle rain overnight and when we got up the plants were covered in raindrops.  During the day the thunderstorm that had been forecast didn't arrive and we had gentle rain on and off all day.  So no gardening at the Lodge today.  Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

The met office seems a little confused, they are still giving a thunderstorm warning for our area but forecasting overcast with a less than 20% chance of rain.
