I planted a dozen gladioli bulbs in a tub earlier this year and this is the first flower to open. Such a bright red. My parcel arrived today with the gorgeous velvet I ordered for Kathy’s kimono. It’s really lovely and I’m looking forward to making it up. I also ordered a new pattern for some casual summer trousers. It looks good - it’s from a pattern company I haven’t used before so it’ll be interesting to see what it’s like to make up. We had a bit of light rain today - nowhere near enough but so cooling and so welcome.
