Zoom

Last week I was feeling a bit guilty after purchasing a new compact camera which I convinced myself to buy due to its much better zoom than my present compact. I was going to keep it quiet, but i'm no good at secrets so I did confess to my darling, declaring it was no worse than him getting a new golf club. In fact it was considerably cheaper than that, as it was at such a bargain price! And how useful would it be for the holidays later on in the year, to have a camera to slip into a bag or pocket.
Tried it out this evening and no longer feel guilty as the zoom is fantastic for such a small camera. This is Edinburgh from the Fife side (32x digital zoom), I was quite impressed with the detail (on large) and clarity.
