Tonight was the last dance of the summer session..... and the last night for Irene, our teacher, as she is retiring after over thirty years of teaching Scottish Country Dancing.

We did her proud; we had chocolates, flowers and wine for her, and a cheque for £200 for her to spend as she wished.  We had a fab cake, which I have blipped, and we all had some with some sparkling wine.  

Irene's class was always challenging as she tested our skill, and we had to do our homework at times to get it right.  But we all loved it.

The class will continue in capable hands of Debbie, and I photographed both teachers together in my collage.  It was a great night with some old favourite dances as well as some tricky ones.  

The rain came today, and it has been raining on and off all day, the gardens are loving it and so are we!  And it is still raining!
