Very late blip! Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
I didn’t take the photo but it was taken on my phone by our friend’s son. She is sitting between the two of us. Hope that counts. It’s now 22:55 and we’ve not long been back from Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham. It was the “Hundred” match. So called because it is a game which is limited to 100 overs a side.
(That is 100 balls bowled by each side in an innings). It began at 18:30 after the Women’s match. We saw half of that one. It finished at 17:30.
I’ll write a longer account tomorrow.
It was a gift for Stephen for his 70th birthday, (which was was in February, from our friend’s son.)
Stephen has had several things going on for his 70th year.
The next one is a trip to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon in September. Another gift.
I’m very behind with comments!
