A new toy for our lawn

This fearsome gadget is a turf aerator and Dr D brought it home this morning after it had been shipped up from Christchurch. He'll tow it over the lawn in the next week or so ( and devise a cunning plan to get it over the drive without ruining the tarseal!) We give the lawn  a menu of treatment at this time of year. D has already had the scarifier over it ...next this sharp beast and lastly some grass seed oversowing, fertiliser and rolling , then later into Spring a spray against broadleaf weeds.
The extras show a few glimpses of late winter around the garden.
