Rain

I guess many UK Blippers will be sharing similar wet views. +17mm rain in last 12 hours and not too heavy meaning there is hope it will soak into the ground.
I posted online yesterday that our old patios slabs were available free to a good home prior to new ones being laid, the new ones are in the pallets. It has taken us nearly nine months to secure the services of a tradesman to lay them, he begins early September. It will help him greatly if we can get the old ones removed. They should all be gone by this evening. Facebook marketplace (and local selling groups on FB) are an excellent way of selling or giving away things, also Freecycle although that tends not to be quite as effective. We shall now have rough old concrete to walk on for a couple of weeks.
