Palace Street
This house in Palace Street has leaned substantially to the right after works were carried out many years ago to its foundations. It now relies on its neighbour for support. It is said that the house was once lived in by John Rolfe who is the mariner that married Pocahontas and brought her to England (not sure if that is actually true but it’s a good story and has resulted in a Pocahontas carving on the corner of the building.) Pleasant day seeing the sights of Canterbury after working in the morning, and in the evening we managed second place in Sam’s pub quiz.
