Daisy days

Reflection

Hard at work? Well, not really! Sis is online - maybe even on blipfoto.com. We're in Galway at the moment, staying in a B&B (of which more later). We came to Galway to visit my uncle and aunt. My uncle was admitted to hospital on Good Friday and sadly died early this morning after putting up a long fight against a serious bout of pneumonia. He was a lovely man, always young at heart and full of the joys of life. It's hard to believe he's dead.
We came to stay for two nights in Galway and were due to check out of our B&B this morning but decided to stay an extra night to be with our Aunt and our cousins today. When my sister approached Eoin, the manager of our B&B, to ask if he had a room free for an extra night, he was very sympathetic but went far beyond mere sympathy. Not only did he let us keep the room for an extra night at no extra charge, but he arranged an extra room for one of our cousins and her husband. Later in the day he gave us a Mass card on behalf of himself and the staff. You've all heard the expression "with friends like that who needs enemies?" Well Eoin is the complete opposite - a passing acquaintance who was as kind as a long standing friend. It's good to to be reminded that there are people like him around.
