Disaster!

The fruit and vegetable arranging society has been “dormant” for some time now, but I received an email to say they had a new competition in mind. Entrants had to use one kind of fruit or vegetable and one “artefact” to replicate a board game.
After many sleepless nights, I came up with the idea of a draughts board, or checkers board, using tomatoes as the pieces.
It being a pretty horrible wet, grey day, I set about the task and took a few preliminary photos of my entry, as you can see in the extra.
But then disaster struck!!!
I turned to pick up my camera after a minor adjustment when Hugo appeared and started eating the draught pieces!!!
