Limeuil
We headed across to the pretty town of Limeuil for lunch today. It's rather touristy, but worth a look around.
After lunch in Limeuil we visited Gouffre de Proumeyssac where there is a spectacular underground cavern. (See today's extra.) When originally discovered, access was via a 12 metre long shaft from ground level, but we entered via an access tunnel that was built later on. It is still possible to enter via the original shaft in a suspended cage which you can see descending in the photo. There was an impressive 'son et lumière' display too.
Tomorrow we set of on our bicycles for a mini tour of the Dordogne.
