Winterbor kale

We mowed the island property today. It sure enjoyed all the rain we had while we were on the farm. After lunch hubby had to pick up supplies in town so we hit the Amish greenhouse for kale and cucumber plants. I only have one garden opened for planting right now so I will have to plant more kale a bit later. The Amish were cutting hay and plowing the fields to plant their cole crops as well. I was late last year so I have gotten an early jump on it this year. 
I learned that a dear friend of mine passed away Sunday form a brain aneurysm. Make every day count...they are numbered.
