Concert Day

Despite a very stressful start to the day, we made it to Portsmouth to collect Katie - thanks to a friend stepping in at a moments notice. Katie didn't spot me until the second half of the concert and was full of smiles when she had. She played principal bassoon for the second half and loved it. 

After the concert, we decided to enjoy the time since we were by the sea. Stephen took us round parts of Portsmouth and we stopped at Southsea for a play in the sea at sunset (see extra). The paddle turned into a full swim for Katie and Stephen, who were both equally delighted. Fish and chips obviously the only option to end the day. It was a super long one though, we didn't get home til 130am. She took a while to settle - we hit a small creature as we came back into town and she spent a long time making a memorial card. Her little heart is still very sad after the loss of her bunny.
