Waiting on the beach
Today we left our tiki accommodation (at 11am) and Nir took us to our beach accommodation. He showed us the house (which wasn’t ready for us yet) and dropped us on the beach across the road, with all our luggage, for the day!
We settled ourselves down by a ‘comfy’ tree to wait possibly till 3pm for the lady to come and let us in.
It was windy and much cooler, that plus sunburn and all luggage on beach made me not wanting to go in the water.
At one point it felt like it was going to rain so we used a poncho to cover the cases as best we could. It didn’t come to anything.
Audrey and Doug made ‘40th anniversary photos’ to pass the time.
The lady came a little bit early and we were glad to get all our stuff off the beach. This house is a grass hut. It is not as well put together as Rohotu but it does have a living room for us all to sit in which is nice.
Once settled we decided to take a little walk along the road and discovered that we are only 220 steps away from our beach location yesterday!
Back at ‘home’ and not too long after it started to rain. Light at first, then heavier.
Tonight’s dinner was a change and we made pasta.
We were all quite tired and even I was struggling to keep my eyes open so at 8pm we all went to bed! Zzzzz.
