Departing…
……………………………in the Rain
What is known as an atmospheric river is flowing over NZ, particularly the Top of the South Island and the nearby West Coast.
Until we actually boarded our flight to Auckland, the first of three connecting flights we look forward to over the next two days, we had our fingers crossed the weather held long enough and we weren’t delayed which would have disrupted our plans no end.
Thursday’s rain and wind is expected to be even worse so we are very thankful Air NZ has been operating at normal levels for the past two days in these wet conditions.
Masks are still mandatory on flights and within the terminal. So far anti fog sprays / wipes are working well on our spectacles.
Featured is a flight departing for Wellington as we wait for ‘our’ plane to arrive. Murky and wet conditions provide the backdrop with Snapseed used for editing.
A very belated and heartfelt thank you for your lovely gifts of comments, stars and hearts for my last blip all the way back in July. All were very much appreciated. My apologies for my lack of acknowledgement.
I’m not sure how I will manage uploading every day for the next wee while, but I am determined to try and keep my holiday photos up-to-date on this site.
