Good enough to eat

Berries are ripening, leaves beginning to adorn their autumnal attire and the season is beginning to change.

As far back as I can remember this has been a key moment in my year, when my thoughts move ahead to the mountains, deep snow, endless powder turns and the cold, crisp bracing morning air hitting my face as I head outside for the day.

This year however, things are a little different and I’m not sure why.

I will be sorry to see summer standing still and disappearing into the distance as time accelerates us away from it, pushing and driving us forward toward autumn and beyond.
