The Lammas Fair is in town until tonight. Allegedly one of Scotland’s oldest travelling street markets and fairs, now predominantly several days of fairground rides. South Street here is closed, as are a couple of others. We kept well out of it. They’ll pack up overnight and that’ll be it for another year. Town and business life will slowly re-establish in St. Andrews in a few hours. Luckily we knew a quiet pedestrian route to the ice cream shop.
