vale of Cabrach

Been up North today - visited the Cabrach Estate (and Cabrach Trust) for the first time; despite knowing the general area around Grantown-on-Spey relatively well ...

... anyhow, was a really enjoyable/worthwhile trip; and the abundant heather adorning the hillsides was looking *quite* stunning :-)

Here's an anonymous verse, that I've found, about the area:


Vale of Cabrach

Green vale of Cabrach where the lambent
waters flow,
A glistening mirror to the golden broom,
Think not that I forget thee when I go,
Or fail to carry happy memories home.
