Hollyhock seeds

The garden is really suffering - we've been trying to water our pots using water saved from washing up and the shower, but it's sad to see so many plants in the wider garden apparently on the brink of death.. To cheer myself up I spent some time photographing the rather beautiful colours and shapes associated with the dead and dying plants including this stunning Hollyhock seed-head - such wonderful shapes and textures.
