New toy

I never cease to be amazed at how motivated Mr PHL and I become to complete wee jobs round the house when there is the prospect of visitors coming to stay!

When we did the kitchen, there were some wee jobs outstanding including filling in the gaps behind the skirting boards and levelling off the range and fitting the luck plate. Both these jobs were attempted this afternoon after we picked up the new car!

It’s a BMW 5 series and is very fancy! Apparently we can even choose different settings for the interior lights for each driver profile. I’ll let Mr PHL sort all that out. It drives nicely and is beautifully clean inside and out.

We treated ourselves to lunch at a local pub which meant I didn’t have to plan too much for dinner as the cupboards are rather empty.

Whilst Mr PHL filled in the gaps in the skirting, I tidied what used to be our son’s room and now have some bags ready for the charity shop and the room is ready to take an air mattress when our visitors come next week.
