Same technique, different fabrics

I went on a zoom course a  few weeks ago on a fabric origami technique. I've been experimenting with different fabrics, in different widths, and they looked rather interesting placed together to see the contrasts . I think my favourite is the pink/rose gold, which I made from a padded tablecover! 
The left is ribbon, which is much softer, and the right is a table runner.
I do like trying new ideas. 
These aren't finished yet, but I think each are worth putting to a headband.
I did try with my 'map fabric' but it didn't really work as it seemed too busy
