Contrast

To Jacqui's this morning to wish her a happy birthday. Stayed longer than intended as we swapped different sorts of holiday tales - our trip to the Dales last week, and plans for her forthcoming holiday in Scotland.

Walked the Humbleton Round with MrM this evening. The vegetation on the hills is dried and brown, a complete contrast to the lush greenery in the Dales. Under foot the ground is baked hard despite the heavy rain earlier this week.
