The Old Bridge Pylons"...
...Which were once the part of the main, and original Bridge which spanned the MurrayRiver at Mildura, Victoria, Australia, and went across from New South Wales to Victoria.
... Built in 1927 - it was replaced with a big new Bridge in 1985.. and now the bridge carries thousands of travellers daily, including so many big trucks transporting goods from one State to the other - night and day they run on the busy 'new' bridge..
...Prior to 1927, travellers had to cross the river by barge..
...The other end of the Old Bridge lies on the Victorian side of the river, now in a Marina - but the old pylons photographed here from the Victorian side of the river, lie quietly amongst the scrub, on the riverbank, almost forgotten..
... I thought I'd bring them to life a little, for today...
