Between fen and mountains

Early grapes

The grapes under the neighbour's loggia are ripening fast. I am allowed to pick them as they are not often there. They are an unusual variety and have a very perfumed flavour. They also need picking over as some are diseased. I played tennis in the morning and for the first time it was not too hot and there was cloud cover. In the afternoon, I brought the car into the yard, not an easy procedure with only two or three centimetres clearance between the walls of the alley. The car then had a thorough wash and valet inside and out. Lincolnshire had lots of mud. Here, there is a lot of dust that seems to penetrate everywhere.
