New reality day 750
A day in the capitol.
It's been a 14-hour day. We left home around 6:30 am and came back 8 pm.
Buddha and I were at my parents and my husband had to work. So he dropped us off and picked us up, which made his commute to almost 3 hours / direction. Going through Helsinki North - South 4 times today is no fun.
I had my procedure at 1 pm. It went okay. No fun, but the procedure went okay. Afterwards I was at the doctors office and I started to see black dots. First I thought it would passiquickly, but it just continued. I had to say that I think I'm going to pass out. They took me back to the operating room and made me lie down. Lifted my legs up, but it didn't help. My vision just got darker and spottier.
And then I started to see the aura with zigzag line with disco lights. It was U shape and it just continued to get bigger and bigger. I had no headache, but clearly a migraine hit me. The doctor told me that when they do the procedure it realizes something in the veins - a hormone - which goes to the migraine area in the brain and there you have it. On and off they see this happen. Luckily I had my meds in my purse and could take it. I had to go to the recovery room to wait for the meds to kick in and after that I was able to walk back to my parent's. Next time I need to take my meds before the procedure. Also just to be safe before my post-op check-up in case they need to do something more.
All and all it's been a long day. I have the compression stocking on and can't go to shower today or tomorrow. It's been around 30°C all day with high humidity. Not the most comfortable I've been, but still so very happy to be at home again after all is done.
Ps. after living now 2 years at the country side, the Helsinki congestion was suffocating. But the smell of the salty sea. That I have missed. One of the best smells ever!
The photo is taken towards the sea very close to my parent's apartment building. it's lovely area. But the crowds and all that... So happy here in the near wilderness.
