Honey

There's an organic produce and plant fair in the village today. The rue de l'Eglise is lined with stalls selling tomato and herb plants, canna lily bulbs, wine, bread, goats' cheese and honey. This honey stall was offering tastings of chestnut jam and eight different varieties of honey, ranging in strength of flavour from the most delicate, chestnut flower, to the local flowers of the garrigue around here and - the strongest tasting - maize flowers in the Camargue. Honey heaven! The Camargue honey was delicious with the goats' cheese from the next stall and nearby Mas Rolland, so we brought home a jar of that to go with the pelardons we bought.
