Michaelmas already ?

Today it was cooler and  cloudy again,  but hardly any rain fell.

We went to a local flooring  shop for ideas  for replacing our kitchen and  hall floors, but  returned  more confused, than  informed, by the huge choice available! A flooring fitter is visiting  us next week so hopefully he will  explain the differences, and what would  work best for us.

I noticed that  our Michaelmas Daisy plant is already flowering. It does seem alarmingly  early given that  Michaelmas Day is 29th September.
