This is our new mailbox. I thought that the drama surrounding it was over. Apparently not.
Remember that Trudy was upset that the new boxes weren’t going to be closer to her house and kept pestering our mail carrier. To the best of my knowledge, the boxes were installed and that was that. But there was more to the story.

The guys installing the new boxes started with the one closest to her (but not where her mail is delivered). Then they installed ours on the corner, which is the one she has to use.

Apparently, these guys installed them backwards. Trudy was seen giving them water and soda, trying to convince them to leave the one near her there. In other words, encouraging them to mess with the postal service. She was then seen stomping off. They wouldn’t go along with her scheme. I guess they liked their jobs.

In other news…the weather is going to be so bad over the next couple of days that the National Weather Service in Tucson held a press briefing. There’s a 100% chance of thunderstorms on Friday along with dangerous flash flooding. Just what my driver friend, Bob, needs.
