Settled

Back into work mode, so just a short walk today. 

It was a lot cooler and overcast and butterflies were only showing themselves if I disturbed them as I walked along. This Meadow Brown settled back down to nectar on Knapweed. Otherwise, I only saw Gatekeeper and Speckled Wood. 

In the woods, the little side becks were still dry but there were plenty of fallen leaves.

Of course the big event of the day was 17yo’s A level results. We were all happy that he’s done very well and will be heading off to his first choice of university, which happens to be the same one I went to, in a month or so.
