Sad day

Our local is no longer open.

They had a great bar and restaurant which served terrific food which I will miss a lot.

They've sold up and the whole place is going to be developed into a retirement home - sign of the times I guess. There's no money in the catering and hotel business, probably because getting staff is so difficult, but there's a SHED load of cash to be made out of the elderly.

I might even end up in there myself one day!

( I always get a bit confused when I see the word Brasserie and confuse it with a similarly spelt word. The question "What is it that they are selling here???" usually runs through my mind. I shall leave itfor the reader to work out which word I am thinking of! :-)
