There are certain places in the Lake District where, in summer, if you want a parking space you have to be out early. I left for Rydal at 8 o’clock. Then sat in the car for 5 minutes while a shower passed over.
I walked the 3 mile circuit of Rydal Water going along by the road first. At White Moss car park the rain started again so it was jacket on and camera away. It had stopped by the time I emerged from White Moss Wood.
There’s an extra with some other views. I didn’t photograph the 8 ladies chatting in their dryrobes after their swim in the lake.
I’ve done some more garden tidying and cut back a dogwood so I can see the fuschia. The postman delivered some good news in an envelope.
