Purple Patch
Today is the first day of Week 21 of the Butterfly Survey calendar, so as the weather looks changeable for the coming week, I thought I’d get it done today. Sadly, a pitiful showing of only 3 butterflies on the route which at this time of year is a worry. It was worth going out to Longshaw for the blooming heather - at its finest at the moment. This view is from Lawrence Field with Carl Wark and Higger Tor in the background.
