Dive Dive Dive - Oregon Trip:3

Part of a backblipped series of my recent trip to Oregon.

Today we took a whale watching trip from Depoe Bay. For two yours we followed a group of about 5-6 migrating grey whales up the coast. Most them were adults of about 40ft+ in length. They raise their tails like this to dive deep. They come up with a splash and drip off water but they disappear smoothly causing barely a ripple.

I was okay on the trip until we started to see then the whales then looking through the camera too much made me feel really sick. I went to sit down at the back of the boat but had to leave shortly afterwards as another passenger started vomitting in the cabin and the combined smell of vomit and disinfectant was going to push me over the edge so I went back up front to get more shots :-)
