Sleeping bunnies and brownies

Bake, tidy, hoover.
Guests arrive, play games and eat.
Nephew exploring.

Busy day but a good one :-) Up early making Brownies, preparing salads and doing all the little tidying jobs I feel the need to do before visitors come!  Ben was a bit anxious beforehand but did really well with having the house full for a couple of hours.  He even shared some toys with littlest Nephew and let him bounce on the trampoline (this is a High Honour).  It will be the last time we see them for a while as they're back home to New Jersey on Monday, so it was special to be able to have some more time together and to watch lovely Nephew explore the house and play some silly games.  Favourites seem to be singing and jumping to Sleeping Bunnies and putting a football cone on his head and then shaking it off again :-D This suits my level of play perfectly! Here he is claiming ownership of a football and looking wistfully at the trampoline.  Little sweetie.
Ben was starting to get worked up about them leaving but they had to set off to try and beat the Friday traffic so we did a deal about taking one of the left over brownies to the woods for a walk before tea. 
He's currently playing Minecraft top trumps with Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I think we can say today has been a success.  
Plus, my house is really very clean :-D
