Llessui
G, A, B, and O went for a more hardcore walk today. S wanted to go to a shepherding museum in a village above Sort. It was a glorious day as you can see, and Llessui is a very pretty village. Despite being 14 km up the mountain from Sort, many of the houses have been beautifully restored and there are even some new builds.
Like the museum of Romanesque art, this one is obviously recent and very well presented. There’s funding coming from somewhere! S thought it was marvellous, and even I, considerably less interested in sheep than he is, found it interesting, especially the video interviews with shepherds from the village. The chap running it was so pleased that S spoke to him in Catalan that he gave him a free book containing much of the information in the museum.
Afterwards we drove down to Sort and had a very light lunch of a drink and a couple of tapas in the very nice Cafe Pessets. Then back to Bordes de Graus where I sat in the sun with my book before the others returned for tea and chat. Off to the on-site restaurant for dinner later.
Edit: I see we were in Sort on this day last year, also lunching at Cafe Pessets! https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2875296340617727851
