Waterfall, Goschenenalp

And water everywhere. We woke up to rain and set off cycling after breakfast. On the way down the hill we passed many waterfalls including this one. It’s the greenest area we’ve seen this summer.

The rain wasn’t forecast to stop so we decided to abandon the bike ride and set off home this morning rather than this evening. We took the train from Goschenen to Aigle, cycled to Bex and then caught another train home. The whole journey was amazing, especially the area near Andermatt where the various transport systems meet in a narrow gorge. What a feat if engineering. Lovely to be home and dry but what a great few days away we had with our friends.
