Just before the border
Left Newcastle mid morning and decided our stopping point would be the border town of Berwick Upon Tweed.
What a good choice. I loved it. We were going to walk around the Elizabethan Walls, but in the end headed for the quayside and stumbled upon a great place for lunch close to where my blip was taken.
The Lowry Trail was so interesting and the alleyways and hidden courtyards just delightful.
Couple of extras if you have time.
Now settled into our accommodation for the week and the views of all the three Queensferry bridges is great.
A mixture of touristy trips this week and family visits.
Plus either tomorrow or Sunday the SVBM (Scottish Vintage Bus Museum) open weekend. Which is actually why we chose this week to visit.
