For the love of sunflowers

The hummers were in the sunflowers that are left today. Most have developed seeds and have attracted cardinals and gold finch. I could sit and watch them all day but our friends gave us tomatoes and we started canning them today. We will finish up tomorrow and then I'll pickle more okra. We read there is a tomato shortage so these tomatoes will come in nicely this winter along with the crab cakes and fish we are putting up as often as we can. We like to be prepared for whatever comes our way. Always have been hunter gathers.
