Well...

Hard to know how to describe today, really...
I made 3 new customers, including my obligatory ex-Pieroth one... plus a chap - car enthusiast - who's now bought at 3 shows, increasing amounts each time, feels like a friend now, not a rich guy, but enjoys the experience... plus almost £2K from my "best" customer and his mate... who then took me out for cocktails, lovely meal (scallops followed by rib-eye) and top notch wine (pictured) at The Aviator... and we had a good evening... Also, while I was waiting for Banno and Simon in "The Sky Bar", I gave up my comfy sofa for a large group... turns out they run the main supercar company exhibiting at the show, they bought me a drink to say thank you, and promised to visit me at the show tomorrow (we'll see, but still...). So, obviously, sounds great! But... the other two did one order each... and obviously I abandoned them for the evening, just to rub salt in...
I'm sure you can understand, I'd far rather they'd smashed it too... Let's see what Saturday and Sunday brings, I'm really hoping Gordon and Chris make a great start tomorrow - you all know that I know what it feels like to not do well while others are "smashing it" - that's definitely not how I want it to go! Gordon keeps saying "we'll not be coming back here next year if it carries on like this"... I can't reply as I'd like to: "Well I'm sure I'll be here with my new company, so I'll be quite happy if Shawbury don't bother"!!
And much more important than all that, I hope even non-relatives have seen the joy brought to my sister and her family yesterday. Brings tears to my eyes, let alone theirs...!!
