Desperate Measures

And so the fridge desperation continues. Luckily I remembered this little gem, a leaving present from Phoebe. I had intended to get up and go to the market to stock up on some foods but when I saw it was hailing I decided it wasn't quite worth it. It hailed for 8 hours without stopping, occasionally straying into just rain. Didn't exactly make me want to go out.

Spent the day, well, doing nothing actually. Started a new novel (finished Paris-Brest which I couldn't have loved more!). This one - Villa Amalia - was not as interesting, but the story was some what page turning.

Had my second shift at work which was a little bit busy. Allowed a French man to fais les bises for a photograph. It was his birthday. I was embarassed. It was friends of the boss so needed to get on their good side. Luckily I'd learnt some vocabularly from GofT that I never thought would be useful - made me look a little less stupid! At the end of our shift we all sat down and ate crepes together - I had a speculoos crepe. The owner drove me home. I've got the job if I want it. Looks like Le Puy will have to get used to me being around if all goes well!
